Robert Hardgrave has created a graphic for Timbuk 2 classic messenger bag. I always find the the idea of co-branding interesting. Timbuk 2 is leveraging "Threadless artist" Robert Hardgrave's talent. Threadless artist... never existed before Threadless (obviously)...but the idea of "Threadless artist" is now creditable enough to co-brand... Things are moving quite fast in the brand landscape.
Just found that Starbucks have been mining consumers' brain for their next big ideas! My Starbucks Idea is an easy to navigate website where you can share your idea, vote for your favorite ones and... to see the progress of how these ideas get implemented in "Idea in Action" blog. Great way to implement transparency through brand innovation process.
Scion Speak. Make your own scion badge. You can go to WATCH and see couple video clips about "making of this website". They said that they did focus group to refine the design for these badges. That made me think... maybe focus group works when the target market is cult.
Then that got me thinking more...about cult. How do we make cult around? What is the essential ingredients for cult to exist? Wouldn't it a powerful tool if we can figure out the essence and strategy of how to create the cult? Any suggestions on book/resources about this topic??
