Repurposed objects sometimes look... not very attractive. I thought this Fairy light made out of repurposed egg carton is very playful and cute. Love the material and tactile quality. (Thanks Susan for sending this to our way!)

Honeycomb lighting by padlab

Honeycomb lighting by padlab. Penny and Dan, founder of padlab were one of the speaker at the Art Center's Design Research Symposium (focusing on materials). They talked about their design philosophy along with some of their current project cooking in their studio. Very inspiring to see and hear how passionate they are in pursuing their curiosity and actualizing it in experimental objects.

Robert Irwin

We had an opportunity to catch the last day of Robert Irwin exhibit at Museum of Contemporary Art San Diego.  A lot of his work play with illusions and perceptions... make you feel very dizzy if you stare at them too long.
