Signature Vase from Droog Design - Design by Frank Tjepkema (via Oh Joy) makes a personal statement in a subtle and beautiful way. It's refreshing to see "customizable objects" that are not on people's face.

Deck of news
Current news/events can be shuffled as a deck of cards at Spectra Visual Newsreader.
Reader can be surrounded by layers of information on screen (preselected by websites and then readers) and quickly flip
through them just like you're dealing with deck of cards. The experience is interesting but so artificial and synthetic that I wonder it makes readers want to go back to old newspapers/magazines...

Fashionology LA
Fashionlogy is a DIY fashion store in Beverly Hills where tween girls can explore and be
"designer" of their own fashion. It works a lot like Build-A-Bear but
mixed with more virtual interaction when they design their clothes. (Of course... right? They are Club
Penguin/Wii generation). Great opportunity to empower the self expression of young girls but also connect them closer to "objects" emotionally to make it into something they want to keep for a long time.
